I’ve taught special education for ten years. I hold a bachelor’s in special education from the University of Wisconsin–Whitewater and a master’s in special education administration from the University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee.

Like a lot of case managers, I spent years stitching together spreadsheets, binders, and calendar reminders to keep SDI scheduled, services logged, and annuals on time. The tools that existed were built for someone else’s job — general ed, district procurement, or a workflow that had never met three lunch waves and a related-service provider who’s only free on Tuesdays.

I built IEP Casemate to help special education teachers manage their caseloads the way the work actually happens: schedule SDI, log delivery, monitor goals, prep meetings, and keep students visible in one place.

Schools and districts need more than a rearview mirror — they need to predict and prevent IEP service under-delivery before it becomes legal or financial exposure. Casemate’s leadership layer is built from the same data teachers already create, without turning the product into a micromanagement dashboard. Teachers stay first-class. That’s not a slogan; it’s why I started.
