IDEA early warning from the same classroom work
Casemate predicts and prevents IEP service under-delivery before it becomes legal or financial exposure.
Enterprise starts with Monitor — School Risk and District Risk, Program Health, forecasts, and weekly interventions. Expand to Audit-Ready (gap queue, evidence export, student audit folders) and Command (structural insight, peer benchmarks, predictive risk, state rules) when your program needs them.
Teachers stay first-class. Leadership acts before legal or financial exposure lands — without teacher-named district heatmaps.
From the classroom
Built by someone who carried the caseload
I’m Tom Vaccaro. I’ve taught special education for ten years. My “system” used to be a scheduling spreadsheet that broke every time an IEP changed, a stack of service logs, and a calendar of annuals I triple-checked out of fear.
Casemate is what I wished I’d had: a checklist for the work that happens after the IEP is written — and early warning for leaders when delivery drifts, without micromanaging teachers.
AI under your direction
Assistive AI — not a blank-page IEP writer
Casemate uses AI where it saves case-manager time: extraction, drafts from your evidence, practice generation, and goal-scoped tutoring. Educator-facing drafts stay yours to review. Student sessions stay on the goal you chose.
IEP & assessment extraction
Upload a PDF. Casemate pulls structured goals, services, and assessment data — then strips PII before storing results.
Present levels & progress drafts
Draft PLAAFP and progress statements from the evidence you’ve already logged. You review and finalize.
Goal-aligned practice generator
Build interactive practice tied to selected IEP goals, with accommodations baked into the student experience.
AI tutor (per goal)
Launch a guided tutor session for one goal. It continues that goal’s curriculum using prior lessons, progress, and assessment context.
Default AI path: Google Vertex AI. Content is not used to train models. Details in our Trust Center.
Who we support
Built for the roles around the IEP
District special education leadership
IDEA early warning across schools — Monitor, Audit-Ready gap queues and evidence, Command predictive and peer views — on the same classroom work.
School principal
Open Monitor — see school delivery risk early and close gaps this week, without turning Casemate into a student hit list.
Special education teacher
Run today’s checklist — schedule SDI, log delivery, monitor goals, prep meetings — without living in spreadsheets.
Related service provider
See services assigned to you, schedule them on your SDI plan, and keep delivery documentation with the student.
Privacy by design
Minimal student data. Clear AI rules.
Casemate is designed around initials and de-identified caseload fields — not full names, SSNs, or home addresses. Uploaded IEPs and assessments are PII-stripped before results are stored. Share links for practice and tutoring are created by educators; students don’t create accounts.
We act as a school official under FERPA when schools and districts use Casemate. We don’t sell student data or train our own models on it.

What educators are saying
Honest feedback from teachers in our pilot program — real roles, no made-up district names.
“I'm in a pilot cohort and using it for real caseload work — not a demo. The daily checklist finally matches how I actually move through my day instead of another spreadsheet I forget to update.”
“We're early in rollout, so I won't oversell it — but SDI scheduling with conflict detection is already saving me time I used to spend rebuilding grids every quarter. My team is watching to see if it sticks.”
“As a case manager juggling related-service minutes across providers, I needed one place that didn't require a district-wide implementation to start. Casemate let me organize my caseload first and bring colleagues in when they're ready.”
FAQ
Straight answers
What is IEP Casemate?
IEP Casemate is a Special Education Compliance Intelligence Platform — a District Early Warning System for IDEA Compliance. Teachers run a daily checklist that creates delivery evidence. Schools and districts use that same evidence to predict and prevent IEP service under-delivery before it becomes legal or financial exposure.
Is Casemate an IEP writing system?
No. Casemate complements your district IEP system. You can upload IEPs and assessments to extract caseload structure, and use AI drafts for present levels or progress — but Casemate does not replace your official IEP writer of record. We warn you when FAPE delivery is drifting.
Do students create accounts?
No. Students open unique, time-limited links the educator creates for practice or AI tutor sessions. Casemate accounts are for educators and authorized school/district staff.
How do you handle student privacy?
Caseload records are designed around initials and de-identified fields — not full names, SSNs, or home addresses. Uploads are PII-stripped. AI runs on Google Vertex AI by default and is not used to train models on your content. See our Trust Center and Privacy Policy for details.
Who is Casemate for?
Ideal buyer: special education directors and district leadership who need IDEA early warning. Schools and districts get Enterprise — Contact us for Monitor, Audit-Ready, or Command coverage. Individual teachers start free (up to 3 students) and create the delivery evidence. Built by Tom Vaccaro, a special educator with ten years in the classroom.
